Why we use it, and our lawful basis
| Purpose | Lawful basis |

| Replying to your email enquiry and providing a quote | Steps taken at your request before entering a contract |
| Delivering architectural services you have instructed | Performance of a contract |
| Keeping project records for professional and insurance purposes | Legitimate interests and legal obligation |
| Site security and fraud prevention | Legitimate interests |
| Marketing emails, where you have asked for them | Consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
Who we share it with
We share information only where it is necessary to deliver your project or to meet a legal obligation. That may include local planning authorities and the Planning Portal, building control bodies, structural engineers and other consultants on your project, our IT and email providers, our accountants, and our insurers or legal advisers. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a commission are deleted within 12 months. Project records are retained for 15 years after completion, to cover the limitation periods that apply to construction contracts and the requirements of our professional indemnity insurers. Financial records are kept for six years as required by HMRC.
